Himmat Singh Shergill is having legal experience of over 18 years. He has been called to the Bar/Admitted to practice in three countries: Canada: Barrister and Solicitor (Law Society of Ontario), U.K. : Barrister-at-Law (Called to the Bar of England and Wales by Inner Temple), India: Advocate (Bar Council of Delhi).

He has been educated at Panjab University, University of London, University of Buckingham, Inns of Court School of Law, City University London, and Inner Temple, London.

In addition to having a degree in Law with Honours, he also has a degree with Honours in Political Science and a P.G.D. in Professional and Legal Skills.
